Kyle Norman, a member of early 2000s boy group Jagged Edge was arrested in Atlanta today, after assaulting his fiancee and made her swallow her engagement ring.
According to the Atlanta police, they were called to the home of Kylie Norman around that 5am and when they got to the area, they saw a woman with "welts under her eyes, a golf ball-sized knot on her forehead, a cut to her nose and a blood clot in her right eye".
The woman was later identified at Norman's fiancee. She told police they have been arguing about the details of their upcoming wedding when Norman attacked her, punched her, choked her with a scarf and then shoved her engagement ring down her throat.
Police say after the attack, Norman broke her phone and seized her car keys, not allowing her to leave the house, as she talked to the police officers, She said, she started accepting everything her fiancee and her had argued about out of fear, in other to make time less angry, and when it worked he walked away, and that was went she ran to a neighbours house using his phone to alert the police
“She stated that she began to agree with things that he was saying in an attempt to calm him down,” the officer who was at the scene wrote. “While doing that he turned around and walked away inside their loft and she ran and grabbed his cell phone and was able to run outside and awake a neighbor who let her inside.”Norman was immediately arrested and he later toldpolice he was upset about his dad having cancer and that’s the reason he got so mad at his fiance.
He's currently being held at the Fulton County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault.
