Fifteen lives were claimed when a garment factory located in the north of the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, was engulfed by a deadly fire.
Emergency officials said that the death toll could rise following the fire outbreak which was sparked due to a boiler explosion at the Tempako Packaging Factory in the industrial town of Tongi.
About 100 people were said to be working at the building when flames tore through the four-storey factory following the explosion.
According to police inspector Sirajul Islam; “We’ve got confirmation of at least 10 dead. But the toll will go up as the fire is still not under control”.
