Insurgency in Nigeria has displaced 2.25m since 2014 - United Nations

The United Nation has said that Boko Haram insurgency in the north-east region of Nigeria has made more than two million people homeless in Nigeria since 2014. They also said most of the displaced are women, children and the elderly.

 

They However said, Hundreds of internally displaced people are returning to their devastated villages and towns recently liberated from Boko Haram in north-east Nigeria’s Borno state, and has raised  concerns about their living conditions, basic services and security in the region. But they have assured them that their welfare will be well taken care of.
